Mannerist painter from Florence. He was trained in the workshop of Pietro Perugino and worked alongside Andrea del Sarto and Jacopo Pontormo. From 1540 Il Bacchiacca worked for Cosimo I de' Medici in Florence and here he also met Cellini and Bronzino.
