Cornelis Cort, aka Cornelio Flammingo
(Dutch, c. 1533 - 1578)

Dutch draughtsman and engraver (Hoorn or Edam, ca. 1533 - Rome, around 17 March 1578). He worked in Italy from about 1536 and stayed in Venice where he was employed in the workshop of Titian. He also visited Bologna and Rome producing a number of engravings from the artists of the time.
