Antonio and his brother, Piero del Pollaiuolo, collaborated on a number of pictures. It is often difficult to distinguish which of the brothers worked on the compositions or whether it was a joint effort. Antonio was the dominant figure of the two and he was also productive in sculpture and as a goldsmith. Piero was principally a painter.
