Hans Hassenteufel
(German, 1887 - 1943)

German painter, Hamburg 1887 - 1943 Painted almost exclusively exotically dressed women; Flamenco dancers, women in seraglio style dress or Italian style peasant costumes.  His paintings appear to be primarily an  excuse to depict young women of any type or nationality, not necessarily always pretty, but usually voluptuous; broadly speaking the calendar art of his day.
