Joos de Momper the Younger
(Belgian, 1564 - 1635)

Born in Antwerp, Joos was the leading member of a family of artists. Many of his works feature mountains; a debt to his visit to northern Italy most probably, in the 1580s. Attribution is sometimes difficult due to the other members of his family working in his style. He was influenced by Pieter Bruegel the Elder in many of his works. He died in Antwerp.
