Christoffel van den Berghe
(Dutch, 1590 - 1645)
This person is associated with: Dutch Golden Age

Dutch painter from Middelburg. He may have been born in Antwerp, from where he may have fled the persecutions.

He started to paint Flemish-style landscapes in 1610's, but he later switched to still lifes of flowers or game, probably after his training in Ambrosius Bosschaert's workshop.
