Cornelius Pearson
(English, 1805-1891)
Cornelius Pearson is a well known prolific watercolorist, a landscape painter, mainly in the Lakes district. He has been exhibited (for example) at the Royal Academy, at the New Watercolour Society, at Suffolk street. The Victoria & Albert museum (London) owns 2 works by this artist. He worked sometimes with his close friend, Thomas Francis Wainwright (1794-1883), and some watercolors are signed by both of them (then Wainwright painted the herds).
