Pupil of Jules Noël, Carolus-Duran and Henri Lehmann. He painted mainly at Trouville and Honfleur (France); he was exhibited at the Salon (Paris) from 1875. His works can be seen at the museums of Trouville, Saint-Brieux, and La Rochelle (France).
