Nicolas-Toussaint Charlet
(French, 1792 - 1845)
This person is associated with: Romanticism

The story says that he saved the life of his close friend, Géricault, when they were in England (Géricault then tried to commit suicide). Eugène Delacroix had a high esteem for N.T. Charlet and wrote very nice and touching words about him (see: E. Delacroix, écrits sur l'art).
