Victor Vignon
(French, 1847 - 1909)

French Painter who was in the heart of the impresionist mouvement. Vignon was the sudent of Corot and Cals. He studied whith is friend Pissaro. Vignon's work are very near from Pissaro's one. He met Gauguin, Renoir, Degas, Guillaumin and was a personal friend of Vincent and Theo Van Gogh. He painted in the areas of Paris in the "Vallée de l'oise". He lived there and in Pontoise which is very near from Auvers where Van Gogh lived for a short time. His works are today in the bigger collection all around the word. Some of them are in prestigious museum such as "Musée d'Orsay". Today nobody talk about him and his works but he was one of the very important and talented painter a this period.
