Southern Netherlandish painter and draughtsman; his life is not known nor his dates but several works of art have been attributed to him, known as the 'Master of 1518', and also the 'Antwerp Master of 1518' and the 'Lübeck Master of 1518'. Works are attributed to this artist on artistic grounds. One of these works is an altarpiece in St Mary's Church in Lübeck that bears the date '1518' on one of the wings. He combined Gothic and Renaissance styles in his religious works.
