Jeffrey T. Larson was born in 1962 in Two Harbors, Minnesota and grew up in the Twin Cities. Jeffrey has been trained in the manner of the Old Masters at the prestigious Atelier Lack, a studio /school whose traditions and training methods reach back through impressionism and the 19th centuries French academies. He followed his four-year training with museum study in the United States and abroad. Jeffrey T. Larson is proud to announce the opening of his 11th one-man show, "The Flow of Life". This year he returns to The Galleria in Edina, MN. The show will feature over forty new works completed over the past two years. These works continue to explore the themes that he holds close to his heart. ART EDUCATION 1988 Minneapolis, MN - Private Foundries. Studied bronze casting and finishing. 1987 Museum art study throughout Europe. 1983 University of Minnesota. Studied human anatomy. 1980 - 1984 Atelier Lack, Minneapolis, MN Completed the comprehensive four year program in the craft and techniques of the Old Masters. TEACHING 1995 - current Teaches and gives seminars on oil painting throughout the United States. 1986 University of Minnesota - taught traditional oil painting techniques. 1984 - 1986 Atelier LeSuer, Excelsior, MN - Assistant Director and Head Instructor of advanced students in the full-time program. 1983 - 1985 Atelier Lack, Minneapolis, MN - taught traditional oil painting techniques.
