Topic: valuing artwork

I have a Frederick Goodall picture dated 1863. It's a scene of a mother holding a baby and an Egyptian lady is bowing to the baby and kissing it's hand. The background is of some stones maybe a well and trees surrounding it. I would like to know roughly what it's worth.

Any ideas?

Hello Judith, I think your best bet is to contact Richard Goodall, a descendant who maintains a ton of information on the Goodall family artists at http://www.goodallartists.ca/. He seems extremely knowledgeable. There's an e-mail address on that page, but I won't post here in case it attracts forum spam.
