Topic: Special characters in the search engine

The search engine doesn't accept special characters. Queries for "Gemäldegalerie" or "musée" therefore return no result.

I think these characters should be considered by the search engine as simple characters. "é, è, ê, ë, î, ï, ù, ü, û, ä, à, ç..." would therefore be processed as "e, i, u, a, c" by the engine. I don't list them all, but there are many other special characters in Nordic and Eastern languages (especially Polish and Czech). I also think of the German "ß", apparently considered as a "B" by the engine, whereas it is the equivalent of "ss".
