Paris street, Rainy Day

This painting, one of Caillebotte's earlier works, depicts a busy Paris intersection near the Gare St. Lazare train station. It is enormous in scale, and was one of the primary works in the 1877 Impressionist exhibition, largely arranged by Caillebotte.
