The National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC has a page for this artwork here. Because of its fine quality this portrait has often been mistakenly attributed to Titian and called 'Titian's Schoolmaster' It is, however, the work of Moroni who was highly esteemed by his contemporaries and by Titian himself.
